Star Wars Saturday – More On SWTOR’s Expansion, Star Wars Legacy Previewed
Welcome back to Star Wars Saturday! A weekly post that recaps this week’s Star Wars news and touches on other fun little tidbits from the galaxy far, far away…
Hold onto your hats people because we’ve actually got some actual news on Star Wars Episode VII this week, not just a slew of rumours!
The Original Cast (Almost) Definitely Will Be In VII
George Lucas himself had this to say this week: “We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison – or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation,” so finally there’s some official word that they’re probably back. Surprising? No, not really. But it’s nice to have some solid word on them signing deals. You can read the quote for yourself, and plenty more, in an interview with Buisnessweek.
There was some gorgeous concept art released this week for Makeb, the location of SWTOR’s upcoming mini-expansion. You can check it out over on the official site. Alternatively if artwork isn’t your thing there’s some new information on the game’s story in a new blog. If you’re still not satisfied there’s even brand new video of Makeb to watch too! The expansion is still set to arrive in Spring this year.
Get A Look Inside Legacy
CBR have a preview of the first four pages of Star Wars Legacy: Prisoner Of The Floating World, the sequel to Star Wars Legacy. Arriving on March 20th, the first issue is just a few weeks away.
George Lucas Proposes A Museum
It’s common knowledge that Lucas owns a substantial collection of movie memorabilia. This is as well as y’know, creating a lot of it. Not content to simply let it sit in storage Lucas is proposing a new musuem not just for the movie related goodies but for “populist art, including the illustrations of Norman Rockwell and Maxfield Parrish, comics, children’s books, fashion, cinema and digital technology.” The propsoal was one of sixteen however so it’s not a sure fire thing by any means.
